AM625: eMMC UDA UEFI boot failure

Hello Champs,

HW: AM62X-SKEVM

Customer is using eMMC UDA FS boot mode（FAT32 file system ）which is based on MBR format partition（ms dos）, tiboot3（R5F spl）can be booted successfully，but when using GPT format partition, tiboot3 can't be booted, there is no output from uart console.

In FAT32, GPT need to configure EFI to use UEFI boot. Does AM62X（/AM623X）ROM boot support UEFI boot mode? If yes, is there some UEFI configuration for reference?

Shine, when booting from eMMC, the ROM on AM62x only supports UDA (raw or filesystem) mode, or boot from the eMMC boot partitions. UEFI boot is not supported. I will need to pass this questions on to our software team to see if UEFI is supported in the bootloader.

Hello Shine,
When BOOTMODE pins is configured for booting from eMMC UDA/FS, ROM driver support reading "tiboot3.bin" from MBR format FS, but not GPT(UEFI) format FS.
