AM6412: Is there a way to do OTP programing within Linux?

Hello,

We're working on AM6412 running linux, and we'd like to have OTP write as a CLI tool.

but it seems that OTP writer is working with MCU plus SDK only. And it's running on R5 replacing the boot loader.

Is there a way that we can integrate it into Linux?

Hello Leon,
Some consideration on AM64x OTP KW:
- TIFS-KW running on SMS core is a special light version of TIFS, where its primary core function is to have OTP programming support.
- MCU+SDK is chosen as a reference baseline SW or user rebuildable bare-metal R5 code is agnostic of platform SW.
- With what being said, it is "feasible" to integrate it to u-boot, i.e. R5-SPL by user as necessary.

Thanks for your answer. Is there any example code from TI to do OTP programming from u-boot or Linux?

is SMS core you mentioned here the one referred as DSMC or M3 in other documents?

Hello Leon,
Unfortunately there's no out-of-box reference code for OTP "boot key" programming from u-boot/Linux.
Yes, it is DMSC_light or M3 for AM64x SoC.

We have AM64x security resource download portal [1].
