  • I know it has been a long time since your question was posted. Usually, you would have this information from the documentation that comes with one of our EValuation Modules or Developers Starter Kits.

But if you do not have this starter information, the hard way would be to read all of the documentation on the Optimizing C Compiler and the Assembly Language Tools. The easy way might be to start with some of our online training files.

Let me direct you to the listing of our online training:

Go to www.ti.com and click on Training & Events in the middle of the page.
Select Topic = DSP and Subtopic=C6000 Fixed-point DSPs (wrong category, but it will get more hits even for what you want)
    Then Type=On-demand.
    Click Search.

There will be a lot of excellent material here, but one that might be most helpful for you is near the bottom of the second page (click Next at the bottom of the first results page) titled "TMS320C6000™ DSP One Day Workshop". Even though it covers the C6711, it will include examples for creating a project and generating a cmd file for use in emulation.

The topic of booting from flash is covered in the 4-day workshops, but I do not know if this material is available online. Please search for information on FlashBurner from www.ti.com, and you may find some useful documentation that will help explain how to boot and run from Flash.
