SK-AM64: How to run 32bit armhf executable binary on default rt linux image

Dear TI technical support,

I have 32bit armhf executable binary and try to run it on SK-AM64 with default rt linux image.

But seem that default image don't have libc6:armhf library.

Is there any solution for this?

test_app: ELF 32-bit LSB shared object, ARM, EABI5 version 1 (SYSV), dynamically linked, interpreter /lib/ld-linux-armhf.so.3, for GNU/Linux 3.2.0, BuildID[sha1]=6d44b068ec73d58dd2313aeaef03e751e4efa9e4, not stripped

Recompile your source code using a 64 bit toolchain.

It's impossible, the code written for 32bit architecture, about >1000 source files.

Hi Jie,

this maybe out of scope for our default images. But using SDK you should be able to build any required lib. There are quite a few articles on the web how to do that for ARM Linux (typically using Debian but I assume Yocto is capable too). Unfortunately I don't have experience with that topic.

In general there are three ways to do this:

Re-build your application for 64-Bit, or
Run your 32-Bit application in a Docker container (fully supported by current SDK, just need to set it up),
Build a Yocto image with 32-bit multilib support (the main topic being discussed in aforementioned E2E FAQ)
