Sorry about the miss. I'm refering to TPS65219/20, the PMIC variants has 5V and 3.3V system voltage option. By using the power estimation tool provided on the product page, it seems 0.75Vcore has lower power consumption compared with 0.85V.

The use of 3.3V or 5V Vsys depends on the use case.

For the LDOs it is recommended to use 3.3V and for the DC/DC depending the output configuration, you could consider using 3.3V or 5V.

When the DC/DC is not used to generate 3.3 V output, it is recommended to use 3.3 V input as against 5V to improve efficiency.

Please note that it is allowed to use 5V Vsys when 3.3V output is not being generated with the result being increase power loss.

you mean the internal LDO and DCDC or external power to supply Vsys?

All the above explanation is for the PMIC.

For the PMIC LDOs it is recommended to use 3.3V as input and for the PMIC DC/DC depending on the output configuration, you could consider using 3.3V or 5V input.
