AM62A3: What do the security part number variants mean?

Part Number: AM62A3

Hello,

I'm looking at the AM62A datasheet and table  10.1.2 Device Naming Convention, it lists security variants but it's not clear what these actually mean.

can we clarify the following questions?

1. What are the meaning of the ranges, i.e. 1 to 9, H to R, and S to Z

2. How do the variants map to HS-FS and HS-SE?

Thanks

  • 1 to 9 are only used for HS-SE devices where a Dummy Key is provided by TI to customer.  Typically only the #1 would ever be used here and not in production only for engineering samples.

HS-FS  is a secure device either either H or S in the naming convention. The difference being if functional safety will be used on the device or not.

The reason H to R and S to Z are there is similar to 1 to 9.  They are there in case we need to rev the device name for some specific reason that requires different keys.

HS-SE is what the device becomes once customer blows their keys and is not part of the naming convention.
