PROCESSOR-SDK-AM62X: AM62x Primary Boot Media and configurations

We are testing SPI NAND Flash on AM62x Customer Board, the hardware connection uses the OSPI0 interface, but the data lines only use four OSPI0_D0~OSPI0_D3.

If you want to boot the system from NAND Flash now, which Primary Boot Media should you choose? QSPI? OSPI or xSPI?

In addition, what's the three configuration options of Primary Boot Media mean (lclk,Csel,SFPD,Read CMD,Mode), and how do you configure them? Did not find their descriptions in the relevant documents

5.3 Boot Mode Pins

You should be able to use the QSPI or the XSPI mode. xSPI boot could be faster.

I think what you said is wrong. We use the Logic analyzer to grasp the timing of xSPI startup, and find that the operation during startup is SPI NORFLASH。

When we used the serial nand method, we found that the operation at startup was NAND FALSH。

Have you TI tested the startup of QSPI NAND yourself? Don't confuse NOR and NAND

I realized that i understood the question as OSPI vs XSPI and thank you your thoughts.

Serial NAND Flash boot is the boot mode configured.

Serial NAND support through OSPI IP is added in Linux SDK 8.4, but there's caveat in bootrom as noted below

"Serial Nand driver in ROM does not support devices that have multiple planes as they require special handling to read even numbered blocks"
