SK-AM62A-LP: Reduce power consumption

Hi Mickael,

Without optimized Linux drivers I am measuring 1.6W after booting the SDK at ~25C, in an OS-Idle state. If we kick off a few dhrystones (maxing out the bandwidth and power of the ARM cores), and memtester (DDR benchmark test), we see about 2W.

What VDD_CORE voltage are you at? How are you measuring power?

How i can change/see the VDD_CORE voltage please ?
For the measure i use this dongle on main USB C power

A quick but improper way to do this is to send the i2c commands during uboot. This is improper because they should be set to the final voltage values before uboot comes up, not switching dynamically after the "power on" sequence is completed.

For a demonstrative purposes only (which should not be a production level approach), to change the VDD_CORE level to 0.75V in uboot, after halting uboot during the boot process, enter:

i2c dev 0

then

i2c mw 0x48 0xE 0x2D

finally 

run run_kern

that should boot the kernel at VDD_CORE = 0.75V.

Ok yes i understand but i'm just trying to reduce the power consumption at maximum for a test (like deep sleep is not enabled for the moment on the sdk ...)
WIth the AM62A Power Estimation Tool we can estimate the power reduction when changing MPU freq, C7x DSP ...

There is a guide to do this in linux command line (reduce soc, C7x ...) ?
