TDA4AH-Q1: R5FSS VIM observations/ clarifications

Part Number: TDA4AH-Q1
Other Parts Discussed in Thread: TDA4VM, TDA4VH, DRA829

Hi,

We have a few questions related to the R5F in the TDA4AH.

  • No detailed TDA4AH VIM schematics, nor registers detailed list neither VIM memory map are available in TDA4AH TRM.
However, in another TI product TRM, TMS570LC43x 16/32-Bit RISC Flash Microcontroller TRM, §19 describes in much more details a VIM module with 127 interrupts channels and with schematics & registers detailed list.
Is TDA4AH VIM similar to it? (except interrupt inputs number …)

  • R5FSSn and MCU_R5FSS0 memory map tables mention a 16KB memory region called  VIC_CFG, for each of them.
As there is no VIC implemented within these processors, wouldn't this VIC_CFG region be in fact the VIM_CFG region ?

  • Does TI Errata J721E DRA829/TDA4VM Processors Silicon Revision 1.1/1.0 document apply to TDA4VH ?
(it notably lists R5FSS known exceptions to the functional specifications)

Thanks,

Scott
