How to Debug in Sitara Processor with CCSv5 Preview Edition

Dear Sir

I am working with AM/DM 37x processor by using the CCSv5 Software.

I have followed the steps given in sequence.

given connections like power supply, serial cable, ethernet cable and inserted the SD Card.

i was about to debug an example program Matrix_tui.

but finally i could not Debug it is showing "Problem Occured"

'Launching matrix_tui_elf' has encountered a problem.

Target Selection Failed

kindly help me in this regard

Joel:

Have you copied the executable (built with debug info) to target file system?

Are you trying to do GDB debugging (without a JTAG emulator)? You would need to run

gdbserver on target console, then start debugger.

What is the version of CCS you are using?

hi michael sir,

we are using ccsv5. and we are unable to debug the program file. and cannot obtain the executable file for sending to target file system.

can u send any other example program or please give the steps to follow.
