I am reading the Documents comes with the TI J721e SDK.. and there it reads at section 3.2.2.10.3.2.3.2.5. Switch Mode

Quote: All the SoCs listed above support Switch Mode when configured in QSGMII mode.

Does this implies that all the 9port switch ethernet phy has to be wired in QSGMII mode in order to use Native Driver in SWITCH MODE?

No, Switch mode enable is independent of MAC Interface.
You can enable switch mode in Native Driver irrespective of phy interface.

Above could be a documentation issue, will correct it.
