TI Netra architecture details

Hi,

Where can I get the architecture  details of TI Netra processor/board.

  • You might have a look to DM816x C6A816x AM389x Overview, where lots of documents are linked, also maybe the DM816x/C6A816x EVM page is a valuable entry for you.

What "Netra" exactly is, I have to assume that also TI itself does not know about that. I was told that is was an internal name around DaVinci and Integra products, and it is used sometimes in this, sometimes in that context, its never exactly defined nor used.

It might help if you would provide the concrete platform of your interest, and additionally which details you are mostly interested.

    Best regards,
    Joern.

  • Hi Joern,

    Thanks for your reply.

I want to know how many internal processors Netra is having viz. Number of arm and DSP processors, How they are connected and their purpose.

I want to the capacity of DSP processors like how many frames of video it can process and how arm controls it etc

  • As this is very common maybe you should compare the different platformsby TI's platform search function, f.e. this request for DaVinci devices might deliver somewhat like wanted. There you are enabled to play around and change the fixed conditions to see which platforms remain concerning your needs.

    Concerning details like

it's difficult to make common statements, as partially this depends last not least on your own implementation, and also for first assumptions you will have to read lots of data sheets, but you find them linked at the different platform overviews, which can be reached from the above mentioned search...
