TDA4VM: Is calibration recommended for INA226 power measurement?

Part Number: TDA4VM
Other Parts Discussed in Thread: INA226,

I couldn't find any mention of calibration or accuracy of power measurements in the TDA4VM docs. However, the INA226 datasheet mentions a calibration register.

  • Sure, it makes sense to calibrate the INA...  You will have an additional uncertainty based upon the resistor tolerance. And finally, the INA is giving you an average current. If you are measuring the VDD_CPU_AVS domain, there can be considerable jumps in the current when MMA is active and this leads to variable current measurements on this domain.
