Hello TI team,

TDA4VM-Q1: TDA4 external NOR flash - Processors forum - Processors - TI E2E support forums

We plan to replace the MICRON NOR Flash MT35XU01GBBA1G12-0AUT with Infinion S28HS01GTFPBHM03.

The SOC we are currently using is TDA4VM88TGBALFRQ1. According to the order code, the device version is SR1.1, which can support XSPI.

What changes need to be made based on SDK7.3. Could you share the development plan?

There is another thread that describes the clock frequency limitations of the S28H parts:

So ... you'll need to modify the clock configuration to use that device. I'll re-assign this to our SDK team.

But then most likely, no change is required in clock. SBL by default configures 166MHz clock for OSPI.. Are you seeing any issue in enabling this flash?

Hi Brijesh,

We find the NOR Flash S28HS521T (same family with S28HS01GT) is one of the supported devices by the SDK R07.03.00.

But we also find that in the SBL bootup code, there is a macro switch that defines the S28HS521T is just supported by the J7200 device.

Could you please confirm how to develop the S28HS521T/S28HS01GT on J7210 (TDA4VM)?
