AM6412: customer board can not boot

Daniel, do you see any output on the UART terminal?  If not, ensure that your terminal is setup correctly.  You may want to use an existing AM64x EVM and ensure you can boot up correctly with the default image:  https://dev.ti.com/tirex/explore/node?node=A__ANJhGdZGrd7ZtizNS3hyQQ__linux_academy_am64x__7qm9DIS__LATEST

This sd card can be boot on the evm

But the same sd card image can not boot and can not see any output on the UART terminal on the customer board 

So customer want to confirm that there is something wrong with the design of the hardware.

Daniel, there could be an issue with the hardware, but we will have to try to narrow down the issue.

To check to see if the UART terminal connection is correct, can you make UART either the first or second in the boot order using the bootmode pins?  Keep the SD card out of the slot and try to boot up the board.  You should see a series of "CCCCCC..." on the UART terminal.  If you don't see this, there is something wrong with the UART connection, and that needs to be fixed first.

If you do see this, then the issue is probably with the image or the SD card interface itself.  You will have to debug using some of the tips from the links above.

PROC100A(002)_SCH.pdf line Page 11 is the following block, why the left and right sides of the filter are the same power net?

Do I have to use Feedthrough Filters? Can the original design of bead + capacitor be used in A6412B (SR2.0)?

(2) The VDDQ & VDD2 power of LPDDR4 does not need a bead now, and is directly connected to the power output, so it does not need to be separated?

What are the results of this experiment?

The customer measures the UART signal, but there is no any signal

The customer measures the LPDDR4 signal, but there is no any signal

The customer believes that the problem should have occurred very early

The customer has tried to boot with UART BOOTMODE, MAIN_UART0_TX (C16) has characters running out;
But if you use QSPI/XSPI/SD Card boot up, MAIN_UART0_TX cannot measure the signal.

-do you have JTAG connection on your board?  

-can you send a picture of the top side of the AM64x device? i want to confirm which device you have

-can you post a snapshot of the terminal when using UART bootmode?

-when in SD card boot mode, do you see any toggle on the signal MMC1_CLK (pin L20).  If not, can you send the schematic of the MMC1 interface, including the power connection to VDDSHV5 back to the power source.
