TDA4VL-Q1: Lockstep mode switching split mode exception

Part Number: TDA4VL-Q1

Hi,

In the current bootload process, sbl loads the bootload, and then the bootload loads the app. All three are running on Mcu1_0, and the bootload is loaded to DDR and part of OCMC. When the bootload loads the app from EMMC to DDR, MCU1_0 needs to exit from lockstep mode to split mode, and it will prompt that the operation failed.

  • Hi,

    Any update for this question?

  • Hi Nancy,

Let me know if my understanding is correct:
There are 3 components: SBL, BootLoader and App and three of these components run on MCU1_0.
You want to boot SBL and Bootloader in Lockstep mode but when loading app on mcu1_0 you want to load in split mode?

What is the intent of using split mode for the app? Are you loading different firmware on mcu1_0 and mcu1_1.
Also, can you please share the steps you are following to switch between split/lockstep mode?

    Regards,
    Parth
