Does L138 support 8kB/page NAND | Does L138 support newer compilier

I've got a new NAND "K9G8G08U0C" which is 8k/page, 1m/block

My kernel is 2.6.33-rc4 and it doesn't support this one.

I've see git.kernel.org has a kernel 2.6.38.davinci may support this ,

my questions are:

1. Does L138 hardware support 8k/page nand

2. does 2.6.38.davinci suitable for L138

3. How could I download it without git, does it has a tar-ball download

4. Can I upgrade the arm-gcc to newer version, like 2011.03-41 to compile the kernel
