Hello,

boot_app_mcu_rtos is modified and team has decided to remove the tertiary boot from mcuss demos.

In future SDK 9.0 , expect only can fast response to be only part of the demo and no further plans to include again as of now.

The documentation will be changes accordingly.

The tertiary boot is that app loads and executes firmware files instead of sbl(or spl)?

SBL in pdk loads only boot_app_mcu_rtos.

What substitutes boot_app_mcu_rtos to load firmware files of main domain if the boot function is removed?

Does the removal mean that this boot sequence is not recommended? 

I'm so confused with this decision. I have waited for completion of these demos(boot & mcu only) since SDK 7.x.

Could you give me more details?

The boot app example is removed only from MCUSW demos but is part of PDK packages/ti/boot/sbl/example/boot_app

Thank you for your reply. 

I need Mode Switch Application demo that MCU domain turn off Main domain and turn it on again.

I referred to the demo of earlier version.

However it has a know issue. The document says as below.

Known Issues

1. When switching from MCU ONLY mode back to ACTIVE mode, currently loading of firmares on the MAIN domain cores is not supported.

I had tried to solve this issue. However MCU was not able to read firmware from SD again and MCU was halt.

I have waited for the issue solved but, the demo was removed at the previous SDK.

Could you give me some documents or source code to solve it?
