Hi,

We are planning to interface a touch screen LCD (3.5") to TMS320C5515. LCD module uses SSD2119 LCD controller IC

I have read in the data sheet that C5515 does not support synchronous (raster)LCD interface. so we need to use LIDD (LCD interface display driver) controller.

our question is that,

can we display video and moving images on the LCD by using LIDD?

Can we use SPI interface of LCD to display Video images without HSYNC, VSYNC signals?

can we achieve all the functionalities of LCD even without raster controller?

Please clarify my doubts.

LIDD should be able to do as good as Raster and is color.

What is the bandwidth of SSD2119?

The frame frequency for SSD2119 is 65 Hz.

So, is this frame frequency can be achieved by LIDD of TMS320C5515?

Please suggest.
