Hi,

I was wondering if anyone can recommend a DSP kit suitable for an object recognition system.

I need to be able to program it with MATLAB such as can be done with the TMS320C6416 DSP Starter Kit,

Also are there camera modules which can be connected to the TMS320C6416 or a kit which has a camera included

i only need a resolution of 640x480, frame rate >10fps.

Possibly a DaVinci reference design. The DM812x has motion and face detection built into the included GUI. All the source is included as well, with no additional royalty fees. Its definitely overkill on your minimal requirements of 640x480 @ 10fps.
