Other Parts Discussed in Thread: SYSCONFIG
Dear Support,
We encountered an issue with the enet stack when putting it into DDR memory, that is present on most of our costum boards.
The issue is that, the initialization only succseeds on the 3rd or 4th try. We didn't saw this issue when it was inside MSRAM, and we are still able to mask it, by putting half of the stack back into the MSRAM, except .text, .rodata and .data using the linker file.
My question is that, is it possible to run the LWIP and the enet compleatly from DDR? We think there is no issue with the DDR, because it passes our memtests.
The inisialization usually fails with HwiP_undefined_handler, and few times with HwiP_prefetch_abort_handler and HwiP_data_abort_handler.
When I trace back, it is eather failing in the CPSW initalizaton, or in the enet phy initialization.
We also suspect that this is caused because of the ethernet phy-s DMA, because those buffers are also put into DDR. Can this be the cause?
Can you suggest any solution, on what can be the cause of this issue?
Gergely
