TMS320C55x Chip Support Library API Reference Guide (Rev. J) SPRU433J - quite obsolete?

I'm trying to get familiar with the eZDSP C5505 dev board using recent CSL.

After some time building example files and reading documentation, I see, that the SPRU433J Reference Guide seems not applicable anymore to me.

I discovered the doxygen html documentation in in install path. But unfortunately this is not very much detailed and not quite beginner friendly.

So is there a recent version of this Reference Guide, as I like the way of documentation quite much.?

There is a C55xCSL-LOWPOWER-2.50.00.00 Release notes available when you download the latest CSL 2.50 (see link below)

tanks for your fast response.

The Release Notes file is a good start to get a overview and getting the examples running. Sadly it is not a replacement for the over 300 pages reference guide I found from 2004.

While working hours and hours with the CSL and reading through the forum, some TI employee mentioned, there would not be a reference guide for the recent versions anymore. I'm sorry, don't have the link right now with me.

Can you confirm that, or is there any further documentation I could not find by now?

The html doxygen docs needs quite much time to getting used to and have not the teaching power as the reference guide has.

Besides, thanks for the CSL in itself. It is very powerfull, I really want to work with it.

As mentioned in the CSL FAQ, "No, as of CSL version 2.50.00 and newer, the documentation is included with the product. This documentation is generated from the code, and will be the most up to date." (see Reference link below).
