Now we are close to production and have been doing rigorous testing . We see SGMII TX happening, but after long run test(without power cycle) we see SGMII RX not working. We are dumping the CPSW9 register and checking. But can SGMII RX lines have issue ? Is the previous link calibration only for TX and not for RX ?

We have not probed the SGMII RX lines, since it is happening in the factory. But observation is SGMII RX not working. We will probe and see once it occurs.

Dwarakesh,

what do you mean by long run test? What do you mean by RX not working? Are you seeing the link drop or packets % drop?

Is this a 2-L SERDES or 4-L SERDES being used?

The link calibration happens once for the SGMII 'open-eye' standard and can only be triggered again by a SERDES reset and SGMII configuration again; unlike the PCIe and other standards for which the calibration continuously happens.
