AM68A: LVDS/OLDI Interface?

Hello.

In the most recent Datasheet for the AM68A it is stated, that it provides LVDS/OLDI. But neither does it mention pins for that, also sysconfig don't feature those. In the reference manuell there is no mentioning of this interface.

So is this just an error in the datasheet?

Hello,

I will need a bit of time to check on this. Based on what I can gather looking through some internal documents, my assumption is that the hardware has the capabilities, but in software we currently do not have any drivers. But, as you suspect, there is also a possibility of an error in the datasheet because the documents are referencing a different device (although, the device is still in the same family as AM68A).

Can I get back to you Monday at the latest?

Hi,

You are right, it seems this is a documentation error. OLDI is supported for a sister processor AM62 and AM65, but not AM68.

We will get this fixed.
