Hi,
I am looking into the possibilities of masking red pixels alone when it comes to Defect pixel correction, that way we dont want to the DPC to applied on the Red channel alone.
Can this be configured to fit our requirements?

Dinesh

Hi Dinesh,
Well, you can use DPC LUT based mechanism to correct these pixels, if you know the exact position of these pixels. LUT supports at max correcting 256 pixels. It reads a table containing x,y position of defecting pixels, at max 256 pixels and correction mechanism and corrects this pixel. You can find more details in the TRM.

Yeah, that would work with LUT based mechanism. But am trying to work around in "on the fly" mechanism, Is it possible achieve the same in on the fly?

Dinesh
Hi Dinesh,
I really doubt that it is possible with OTF, but i will need to confirm with expert. Unfortunately, he is on vacation and will be coming back two weeks later. Meanwhile, i would suggest you using LUT based mechanism.

Brijesh
Sure, we will wait on this, no problem, Meanwhile we will check your method.

Hi Dinesh,
I suppose your would like to apply OTF DPC to Gr/Gb/B channels but not on R.
Unfortunately, that is not supported by VPAC1 and VPAC3 in TDA4 devices.
That can only be supported by AM62A VPAC3L and future TDA4 devices with VPAC3L.
