Hi
I was wondering how to use TI's tool: USB-to-GPIO to program the UCD9222 on the C6678 EVM. Since the pin out of the EVM and the tool is different, I want to know the way to connect them together and program the device. Thanks a lot!

Han,
I'll have one of the Smart reflex experts answer your question about programming the device, but you can find the details on the hook-up by looking at the schematics here:

The USB-TO-GPIO adapter referenced is the recommended tool for this programming. It provides an interface between the USB and the PMBus interface needed to program the UCD9222. This is discussed in document SLLU093 on the TI website. A cable will be needed to connect to header PMBUS1 on the EVM. Table 2-1 of this document lists the pin definitions. A Xilinx flying lead programming cable works well for this although a custom cable can be easily made. The Fusion Digital Designer software can then interface with the UCD9222 through USB-TO-GPIO adapter and its PMBus port.

Tien,
The PMBUS1 connector on the C6678 EVM is a simple 5 pin, 0.025" square post, 0.0100" spacing header strip. It is equivalent to a TSW-15-S header from Samtec. We connect the USB-GPIO device mentioned above using a flying-lead adapter cable from Xilinx. There is nothing special about the connector or the adapter cable.

Hi,
Could anyone point me to Smart reflex forum from here. I am not able to find one.
I am connecting TI USB-GPIO connector to evmk2h PMBUS1 connector to get real time measurement from UCD 9244 IC. I am not able to get that data.
Could anyone help
Thanks
Ravi
Hi Ravi,
Thank you for the post.
You can post power manager related queries on Digital power forum. Below is the link,
For keystone device/EVM related queries, please post here.
We recommend you to create new thread for the issues, old threads get less attention then new.
Thank you.
Ravi,
Are you using the Fusion Digital Power Designer software? Does it detect the UCD9222 PMBus address?
