HUA network benchmark tests (EVM6670L)

Hi,

I was carrying out network benchmark tests on my EVM6670L. It seems that I can only run one test at a time, such that I am required to power cycle the board in order to run a different network benchmark test (doing a hard reset does not seem to be enough). Is that normal? And so far I only managed to run both TCP tests, and one UDP test receive (on EVM).

Any new update on the source file for HUA will be gratefully received.

Chiang,

We know that you can not halt DSP and reload and execute the hua demo without doing a system reset. Can you try doing system reset instead of power cycling the board? This should allow you to do multiple tests without doing a power cycle.

Thanks for the quick response.

Tried doing system resets before, very unpredictable behaviour. Sometimes I can do TCP transmit (from EVM). But often the program just gets stucked at "TCP/UDP Transmit/Receive Task started". Power cycling seems to at least give me more consistent response. But of course that is very time consuming, having to load the GEL and program every time I power cycle the EVM...

Can you please let us know the BIOS MCSDK release version that you are using? There was an issue in earlier BIOS MCSDK releases similar to what you have.

I'm curious to know if you are using the prodution release or not.

The production release of BIOS MCSDK can be downloaded from http://software-dl.ti.com/sdoemb/sdoemb_public_sw/bios_mcsdk/02_00_00_11/index_FDS.html which we tested for sure that system reset is sufficient and no power cycle is needed inbetween runs.
