AM5728: V4l2 VIP driver change details from SDK 3.0 to SDK 6.0

Hi,

we are using a custom board based on AM5728 for video processing.

Earlier ,we were using SDK 3.0 version. we tweaked the vip driver for our requirement and it was working.

Now we want to update the SDK to 6.0 version. But what we found is there is a significant change in vip.c driver

please provide the details about change and any instructions for customization

hi,

did not get it. Vision SDK 3.8 was the last vision sdk release and there should be any change in VIP driver from vision sdk 3.0 to vision sdk 3.8 release.. You should still be able to apply your changes in the vip driver and should still be able to use it. Btw, i am assuming you are using TI RTOS driver on M4 code.. Please confirm if this is correct.

iam using processor SDK

earlier version: processor SDK linux 3.0

latest version: processor SDK linux 6.0

No, could not able to capture video.

What i found out is 1. interrupts are not firing 2. parser size register is not filling

pinmuxing is ok.

suggest if any driver specific changes are required in sdk 6

ok, please check then if the parser is enabled, pinmux is setup for all control signals and clock correctly. This is what all require to get atleast size register.
