AM69A: Video performance for multi channel

Understand that AM69A can handle: 2 x 4K60 H.265.

1 .For 8 channel application, does it translate to 8 x H.265 Encode 1080@30 FPS parallel?

2. Would AM68A be sufficient alreaady? Given that customer only need 8 channels, not 12 channels?

3. What is the RTM schedule of AM68A and AM69A?

    Hello Eddie,

    Your understanding that AM69A can handle 2x4K60 H.265 is correct. This is because AM69A has the two CnM cores. Each CnM core is capable of encoding a singular 4K60 H.265 stream. Translating this, the core is able to handle 8x1080p30 H.265 encoding. Given that each core can handle this, AM68A should be sufficient (one core is enough for this use case). I will test this on both platforms with newest SDK just to verify. Will include results in next post.

    Hello Eddie,

    Just wanted to confirm with you that I have tested 8 Channel 1080p h265 encode at 30 FPS on AM68A and verified that this is a working feature.
