AM3359: Can't program on virtual box

Hello Champs,

HW: AM3359ICE2

OS:linux ubantu 64bit

Customer is using ccs10 to connect AM3352 USB under virtual box. The virtual USB detected the board, but he failed to program with USB in CCS. It prompted "one of the ftdi driver functions used during the connect returned bad status or an error"

Hello Shine,

I assume the customer is running the Ubuntu in the virtual box?

I have occasionally seen some challenges related to connecting the virtual machine to the hardware ports on the computer. We will not be able to support questions specifically related to the virtual machine itself.

If the customer installed CCS with normal permissions (instead of elevated permissions with "sudo"), did they make sure to run the install_drivers.sh script after doing the installation? reference https://software-dl.ti.com/ccs/esd/documents/ccsv10_linux_host_support.html
