DM8168 DDR2 EVM video input.

Hi,

I am working on the DM8168 DDR2 EVM board no daughter card from spectrum.

I think there are only output video ports for this board.

Now I want to test the Video input port(Component) of this board,

and I have the expansion IO daughter card for DM8168 DDR3 EVM,

so can I use this card as the input video port?

Is there any examples about the daughter card?

I am using ti-ezsdk_C6A8168-evm_5_00_00_56.

I don't know if the I/O card will attach to the DDR2 versio of the EVM.

However I for Video Capture, you'll need a capture driver for that I/O card and I don't believe the current version of the SDK includes support for that.

A capture driver is on the list of future driver support but I'm not sure when it might be available.

Is it mean even for the DM8168 EVM DDR3 with a daughter card, there is not any method to test the input video port?

Because the video capture driver is not available in ezsdk now.

This SDK version has capture via TVP 7002 tested.

The SDK version I referred to runs Out-of-Box on a DDR3 EVM. However, you can re-build the u-boot to run the SDK demos on your DDR2 TI EVM. Please refer to the link below for details.

Also note that there will be performance degradation due to reduced bandwidth on a DDR2 with a 400Mhz clock versus 796Mhz DDR3.
