C672x Code Composer Simulator

I am trying to simulate the C6726B processor. I have Code Composer 3.3 and there is a tool to simulate the C6713.

How does one simulate the C6726B? In the setup I see "C672x CPU Simulator Little Endian" but under "Available Processors" I do not see any of the C672x processors.

    I don't recall if the C672x Chip Support Package was included with the base 3.3 install or if it came with one of the earlier Service Releases. I am running with SR 10 on one machine and SR11 on another, and both show the C672x simulator. See the attached screen shot.

    Try taking a look in the C:\CCStudio_v3.3\drivers\import\ folder for a file 'c672x_ltl_endian_sim.ccs.' This is the actual simulator configuration file you should be using inside CCS Setup. If you have this file, but do not see the configuration inside CCS Setup go to File->Import and import that file.

    Let me know if this file does not exist and we can get it sent to you.

    Let me just go ahead and upload the configuration file here...

    *edit* Please also note that this simulator supports all C672x processors (C6720, C6722B, C6726B, and C6727B) and that there are not individual simulators for each one. The C672x parts are very similar to one another and will function the same way. The simulator will always assume the flagship part (in this case C6727B) so as to include all of the functionality of the other parts.

    Hi. I have that file.   The issue is that for available processors I do not see any of the C672x processors. I have a screenshot if I can email it to you.

    Is there a .gel file that I am missing?

    In the folder C:\CCStudio_v3.3\cc\gel  I see files for the c6713 processor and other processors but no files for c672x.

    I used the “Update Advisor” to look at the “Chip Support Packages” for version 3.3. There are packages for the C674x and other processors like C6474. Is there a chip support package for C672x for Version 3.1?

    I am checking with the CCS team as to why there is no C672x listed in the Available Processor Types. The files pointed to by the simulator configuration are both C672x files (look at the .dvr and .cfg files), but for some reason the C672x processor type does not exist.

    As to the GEL file, the only one I have is for the Lyrtech PADK. There is not a generic one for the C672x.

    *edit* There is a Chip Support Package for the C672x but from what I can see this patch is only for CCS v3.1.
