Hello There,

Visteon BSP team has both AM62A EVM and AM62x EVM (SKEVM PROC114E1) from TI.

AM62A supports one LVDS channel. Is that possible to connect a Display to the AM62A EVM through DSI connector by connecting any hardware module ? Since AM62A doesn't have any DSI connector.

According to the below link, for AM62x EVM, LVDS support would have been implemented by now. if so, Can you please share us the document that has information about how to configure display timing in Linux. Also please suggest the compatible display module for testing the rendering.

Hi Gnana,

AM62A device doesn't support LVDS and Krunal has already pointed support of early splash on LVDS for AM62x in this thread: https://e2e.ti.com/support/processors-group/processors/f/processors-forum/1257157/sk-am62a-lp-support-for-early-hmi

Will let Krunal answer the compatible display module for rendering.

Hello,

On AM62x, we used the following display to test LVDS: https://www.ti.com/tool/SK-LCD1?keyMatch=&tisearch=search-everything&usecase=hardware. In terms of software, please refer to the following:

1. DT node: https://git.ti.com/cgit/ti-linux-kernel/ti-linux-kernel/tree/arch/arm64/boot/dts/ti/k3-am625-sk-microtips-mf101hie-panel.dtso?h=ti-linux-6.1.y

2. As you mentioned the compatible field is microtips,13-101hieb0hf0-s and the timing is defined here: https://git.ti.com/cgit/ti-linux-kernel/ti-linux-kernel/tree/drivers/gpu/drm/panel/panel-simple.c?h=ti-linux-6.1.y#n2702. I

Hello Krunal,

We have only the first revision of AM62X EVM (SKEVM PROC114E1) with us. Does this hardware revision support the display rendering to test LVDS.?

If not, Please suggest the AM62X EVM hardware revision for the LVDS testing.

My recommendation would be to buy the latest Rev3 EVM.
