TDA4VM: HSM support by GP version (TDA4VM88TGBALFRQ1 )

Hi TI

Can you please clarify if GP version (e.g. TDA4VM88TGBALFRQ1 ) is able to support HSM feature named as Security Accelerator?

Also, since DATASHEET Part Decoder has GP and High-Security versions, can you tell me if the Security Accelerator (SA) module is only available in the High-Security version or also available in the GP version?
If so, please let me know if I need to use the High Security version to use the HSM.

    The TDA4VM does have the Security Accelerator IPs (called SA2UL) on a GP device.

    HSM is a generic term. Please elaborate on what features you are looking for. The GP device does not have any Customer Security Keys, so it doesn't provide any signing of images or JTAG protection.

    The TI Foundational Security (TIFS) runs on a Cortex-M3 core in the DMSC subsystem, and provides a fixed set of services. This is delivered in a binary form from TI. Please see the TI-SCI User Guide for the supported features.

    The customer would like to maintain a certified Cybersecurity Management System (CSMS) in addition to Secure Boot feature implemenation.

    When will the HS version of TDA4VM be available to customers?

    Hi Jack,

    Secure Boot feature can only be achieved on HS devices.

    Yes, HS version of TDA4VM is indeed available to customers. The samples are provided as HS-FS (High Security-Field Securable), and TI provides a KeyWriter software that allows customers to blow their keys to convert the device into a HS-SE (High Security-Security Enforced) device.
