I want to change the supported industrial communications.
(ex. EtherCAT -> Ethernet/IP )

Does the PRU-ICSSG of AM6421 support the corresponding firmware update feature?

Yes, you can easily switch to any supported Industrial protocol mentioned here

Yes. What firmware and SW AM6421 ICSSG runs is all in the SW image. You can decide to load EtherCAT or EtherNet/IP dynamically.
