AM5729: Getting the A15 to run "hello world" from baremetal - can't connect to target

Trying to run the example from section 9.9.3 of the "Processor SDK RTOS" guide on my AM5729, using the ARM15 core 0:

I'm using the AM5729 with an XDS110 debug probe connected. There is no SD card inserted into the SD card slot.

My "Target Configuration" is set to "GPEVM_AM572X_SiRevA".

I can build the "hello.c" file, and then I select "Launch Configuration" on my Target Configuration.

In the debug window, I see a list of the cores on my processor. I select the CortexA15_0 core, and I press "Connect Target", but then I get this error message:

HI Richard,

Are you seeing this issue on an EVM/IDK board or is this a custom board?
Also, can you please confirm that the board is not booting from any other media?

Hi Parth,

This is my Beaglebone AI board. I can confirm that there is no SD card in the SD card slot, and Linux is NOT being used in my project (all cores are "baremetal").

I would recommend posting on the Beagle community forum.

In general, what TI provides are gel files for EVM boards from TI. For non-TI boards, files that are unique to the custom board should be provided by the manufacturer of the custom board. Although, like this post that is already on Beagle's forum, TI gel files and other files can be used as a known working reference to port to custom boards such as BBAI: https://forum.beagleboard.org/t/bbai-am5729-gel-file/2069/3

But again, I would recommend checking with the Beagle community in case somebody has already ported over the required files for running baremetal code through CCS, because we do not have the gel files for that board.
