AM5729: Getting the A15 to run "hello world" from baremetal - can't connect to target

Trying to run the example from section 9.9.3 of the "Processor SDK RTOS" guide on my AM5729, using the ARM15 core 0:

I'm using the AM5729 with an XDS110 debug probe connected.  There is no SD card inserted into the SD card slot. 

My "Target Configuration" is set to "GPEVM_AM572X_SiRevA".

I can build the "hello.c" file, and then I select "Launch Configuration" on my Target Configuration.

In the debug window, I see a list of the cores on my processor.  I select the CortexA15_0 core, and I press "Connect Target", but then I get this error message:
