DM36x DDR2 problem

Hi,all,

When I use DM368 to control DDR2(Winbond W971GG6JB-25), I met a problem.

According to the the datasheet of W971GG6JB, I noticed MRS and EMRS command may control the DDR2.

In the TMS320DM36x DMSoC DDR2 mDDR Memory Controller User's Guide, I also find the section match with them.

But how can I sent  MRS and EMRS command to DDR2 ? I didn't find corresponding registers of DM368 in User's Guide.

best regards

  • The EMIF does not have registers that directly map to MRS/EMRS commands. The EMIF has its own registers that need to be programmed by the software. Whenever, the SDRAM Config register is written by the software, the EMIF automatically triggers initialization sequence to the DDR2 that appropriately sends MRS/EMRS commands to program the DDR2 correctly.
