We are using the J721S2 processor in that we are trying to implement the SPI with 64-bit. I had implemented SPI with-16 bit its working fine and the chip select width is 16-bits. When i am trying to configure for the 64 bit the processor is getting hang. I changed the data size of the spi is any thing need to be changed more for 64 bit configuration.

We are J721s2 processor. we are using the free RTOS.

Hi Maheshwar,

I really SPI even supports word length of 64bits. It supports at max 32bit word length, so if you want to transmit 64bits, you need to send two 32bits words.

Hi Brijesh,

Actually i want to maintain the chip select low for 16-bits of 4 words. if i configure the spi for 16 bit the chip select will be going high for every 16 bits of data. To mentain the chip select low for the 64 clock cycles what are changes we need to do.

Hi Maheshwar,

Are you using single channel mode? Then you can control chip select from the SW using Force bit. You would need to change current driver for this.
