UVC Client for DM8148

How would one turn a DM8148 into a webcam? Is there public code to implement the UVC client driver such that the DM8148 looks like a webcam when plugged into a PC?

What's the dependency/interaction with the multimedia accelerators? In other words, would only certain codecs/containers be supported? I imagine H.264 is probably the most important codec to support, though MJPEG might also be useful.

I'm not aware of any existing reference code for DM8148.

The Broad Market camera interface and software is not available and only available thru VS or VC verticles

From an Linux configuration standpoint I believe enbling CONFIG_USB_VIDEO_CLASS is the first start and build the kernel.

Then you'd should be able to write video frame to the UVC class handle.

BTW - accelerator for H264 are available thur OpenMax framework.
