TMDXIDK5718: ti-processor-sdk-linux-am57xx

Part Number: TMDXIDK5718
Other Parts Discussed in Thread: AM5718,

My question is regarding am5718 and its eval board TMDXIDK5718.  I'd like to (try to) use Linux Mint 21.1 instead of Ubuntu 18.4 as host Linux system and set up the SDK on it.  When I tried running the setup script provided by TI, it said the Linux distro was incompatible and stopped executing the script.  It's contrary to the following statement I found in TI documentation: "The Processor SDK Linux AM57X was built and tested against a specific Linux Distribution name and version, Ubuntu 18.04. Note this does not prevent the user from installing the SDK on other Linux distributions."  How do I override the default Ubuntu distro 18.4?  Is there an option that I need to use when invoking setup?

Thanks.
