  • Hi Debashis,

The SK-AM64B board requires modification for accessing SD card reliably. I am routing your query to our hardware expert for the details.

  • Hello Debashis,

Can you please do the attached rework on the EVM and check the SD card boot?

  • Hii Senthilkumar,
We are going to implement our carrier board there we can update this what you suggested but, we have 2 same boards in one board with one memory card its booting fine what is the reason behind it.

Is, it related to any memory card class or anything. Can you guide me clearly.

    Regards,
    Debashis

  • Debashis,

We tried many different card from various manufacturer and size. Some of them are working and some are not. Since this is a marginal failure, we couldn't able to find the pattern of this failure.

After the pull up resistors installation (which is a design requirement), all the cards are working fine.

    Regards,
    Senthil

  • Hii Senthilkumar,
Actually as you suggest above we don't have stock of 10K(0201 Package) in place of that we placed 18.7K and for 49.9k (0402 Package) in place of that we placed 47K but still its not booting did we require the exact or how it is?

  • Debashis,

For 10K, please try a value between 9K and 11K.

    Regards,

    Senthil

  • Hi Senthilkumar,

As you said previously we exactly try the same with 10K and 49.9K Resistor but we are getting same result.

  • Hii Senthilkumar,
We too have implemented 10K and 49.9K resistors on the board and we have tested. The result is as follows:

    1. Board has boot up during initial Power on and when we try to restart the system without removing power cable- the board didn't boot up and throws an error as shown in the code forum.

    2. We have removed the power supply cable and debug cable and we have made over all power recycle to the board and turned on the power supply at USB C connector (J8) and turned on the SW5 switch then the board starts booted up.

Can you please let us know why we are facing issue during restart of the board even when we placed additional resistors. This information is essentially required to us at the earliest.
