SK-AM62: Difference between "AM62x_SK_EVM" and "AM62"

Part Number: SK-AM62

I'm using SK-AM62, so when I create a new CCS project, I think Target should be "AM62x_SK_EVM". However, when checking the properties of the sample hello_world_am62x-sk_m4fss0-0_freertos_ti-arm-clang, the Target is "AM62".
What is the difference between "AM62x_SK_EVM" and "AM62"?

Hi seiya,

Thank you for your query.

The difference between target devices are because of their configuration settings for board and peripherals. Target "AM62" does not have any GEL files for configuration while target "AM62x_SK_EVM" has platform GEL files for configuration.

I checked the page you linked to, but I didn't quite understand it.
If you want to set the pin by yourself, do you mean select "AM62"?
I would like a more detailed explanation.

Yes, If you want to connect the device with minimal disruption then connect to device itself ("AM62"). As it does not invoke the GEL files for the cores.
