Other Parts Discussed in Thread: 4430

Hello Everyone,

 

Have ordered blaze 4430 which will take sometime to come, would like to get inputs related to flashing U-boot, X-loader. I have downloaded the source from omapzoom.org

and kernel,u-boot and x-loader build is ready. Anything else that needs to be done, before the board comes?

 

Kindly share your expert inputs.

    hi Sahil:

                 If you have a blank blaze device you will need first to set it to boot form SD card, this is how you create a bootable SD card for your blaze 4430:

    Note: if you only need the x-loader and u-boot part, you can ignore the rest.

                  then you need to Set S2 and S3 on the back of you braze to the configuration shown on the image in the link bellow:

                 After doing that you will get to the u-boot promt then using fastboot  or u-boot commands you can flash blaze's internal eMMC, with is the default booting memory. If you need farther instructions I will be needing you to provide more details about which platform you intent to use.

    this will work if you are using a GP processor version, if you are using a HS or EMU, you will be needing to sign the x-loader images.
