Hi,

I have question about memory selection, the target device is AM3505.

(1)NOR Flash Selection
Is there any selection condition for NOR Flash?
For example, is it necessary to be compatible with Intel P30 and AMD?

(2)DDR2 SDRAM Selection
I'm planning to connect the 266MHz 1GByte DDR2 SDRAM to DDR2 interface(Max 166MHz) of AM3505,
is there any problem?
And is there any 1GByte DDR2 SDRAM which have been used in the past with AM3505?
If there is, will you introduce me the model number?

Need to apply a similar patch that is shown for PSP 04.02.00.06.

AM3517EVM uses a Numonyx (Div of Micron) PC28F640P30B85 NOR flash.

Sorry about my late response. I was taking vacation last week.

Thank you for answering my question.
I understood it about NOR Flash. But please let me ask about DDR2 once more.

I confirmed the wiki page that you showed.
In other words I must choose DDR2 SDRAM which speed is less than 166MHz
because AM3505 max DDR2 speed is 166MHz, am I right?

I found that I could connect higher DDR2 speed grade.

I look at the data sheet(page.137)and found that minimum of DDR2 device speed grade is DDR2-333MHz.

And at the data sheet is said:

Higher DDR2 speed grades operating at the specified speeds are supported due to inherent JEDEC DDR2 bachwards compatibility.
