Expected Power Usage

Hi,

I saw there was the power estimation tool for this device but it does not show up under the Design & Development area on the product page, is there a reason for this?

Additionally, do we have general power usage information for the device available, such as if it is a 5/10/15/20W device?

Hi Kyle,

I was able to find the tool (although it should still be added to the actual design and development section for consistent and ease of access). My question is about general power usage of the device and what wattage the customer should use to design their power supply if they are in early stages of design and may not be 100% sure on utilization of the device.

There are pre-populated use cases that give a range of power consumption both for PDN/peak and for thermal. Refer to "Table 6-1. Thermal Power at 125°C."

If the customer doesn’t know exactly what their use case will be … the safest thing to do is to use the xls tool and populate the “Superset” use case, you can see what the peak/PDN requirements are for the SoC.
