am1810 profibus demo

Can anyone help us setting up the profibus demo as shown in figure below. We have all the hardware setup exactly as shown in the figure. We don’t have a clue how to setup profitrace and proficaptain to run the demo. Based on our research, it looks like we need a .gsd file to setup our AM1810 slave from proficaptain. It will be great if you could share with us the detailed procedure of setting up profitrace and proficaptain along with gsd file.

    Hi Shilpa,

    Please find attached the AM1810.GSD file. Extract the Zip-file and import the GSD file into the PROFIBUS Master. After the import you can create a PROFIBUS Master / Slave network within the PROFIBUS Master configuration tool.

    Note that I do not have the Procentec Master in my lab, and therefore I recommend to follow the instruction provided by the Procentec Master User Guide.

    We also were in need of that gsd file. The demo is now communicating.

    Where is the documentation located for what that demo is supposed to do?

    We are in the process of investigating J29 to look at the discrete IO to make sure that it is being controlled.

    Is there any source code for this routine from the EVM board?

    It would save us an awful lot of development time if we could clone chunks of the library and/or see how

    the library calls were organized.
