AM625: GPMC Linux Driver , SPI and PWM M4 example

Part Number: AM625

Hi TI,

There are two question I would like to ask.

1.When will release the SDK which is ready for GPMC interface? My customer have wait SDK for over five months.

2.Would you like share the example code of SPI & PWM run in AM62 M4 core?

  • Hello Cayden

In general I recommend referring to the software build sheet to see what features are supported or on roadmap vs not planned

    https://software-dl.ti.com/processor-sdk-linux/esd/AM62X/09_00_00_03/exports/docs/devices/AM62X/AM62X_build_sheet_09.00.03.htm

You can find this in the SDK download pages

Unfortunately on your query #1 there is a typo even in the software buildsheet ( i will get this corrected) - no plans to do anything with GPMC, if your query is for a driver in Linux or RTOS for using GPMC to interface to FPGA. We had originally planned to build a daughtercard for supporting this use-case , but there was not enough justification to do so. Most customers have been able to develop GPMC to FPGA on their own.

On SPI and PWM, please refer to the buildsheet. Again no plan to add PWM support from M4. M4 is essentially for very limited set of peripherals for either safety or non safety general purpose use-case. In general we are not planning to support M4 drivers for main domain peripherals like PWM etc. It ie expected to be used from Linux/A53 side.

    Hope this helps

    Regards

    Mukul
