TDA4AL-Q1: How to generate CAC module LUT

Part Number: TDA4AL-Q1

Dear TI experts,

We want to use the CAC module, but we are not sure how to generate LUT. Browsing the relevant cases, we find that it needs to be generated through the data provided by lens vendor like the LDC module. The data format required by the LDC module to generate LUT is Angle of view and distortion, so what is the data format required by the CAC module?

Please help us to sovle these cases
Best Regards

  • Hi wei.pan,

I suppose it is clear to you what CAC expects in the LUT -- shift of R and B pixels relative to G pixels so that both R and B pixels can be realigned with G pixels.

For a spherical system, you would need to know the R/B shift relative to G at any distance from lens center.
In that sense, it is similar to LDC in tuning tool.

We don't have experience in calibrating a camera module (lens + sensor) for CAC.
The information you get from lens vendor is typically about relative shift at certain distance and wavelength (since lens does not know the sensor color response).
You may need to do further calibration and calculation for your lens/sensor combination.
