ECAD engineer is requesting to connect dedicated bootmode pins directly to 3.3V or ground. Are series resistors required or recommended?

The boot mode pins have alternate functions after boot that could case the IO to short in case the IOs are configured as outputs intentionally or

un- intentionally.

We do not recommend shorting the boot mode configuration pins directly to VCC or ground.
