TDA4VM: If I want to increase image brightness, the best place to add ISP gain

Part Number: TDA4VM

Hello, I would like to ask if we can improve the brightness of the images captured using the TDA4 VM board by adding an isp gain to VISS. I added an isp gain to the AWB module in VISS,

However, it was found that although the image brightness was improved, the H3A module did not include the brightness after the improvement, which has no feedback effect. May I ask if there are any solutions and other

places to obtain image brightness,Alternatively, add ISP gain to other modules within VISS so that the added brightness values can be included in H3A statistics.

  • Hi enrui,

the H3A module did not include the brightness after the improvement,

This AWB gain is after NSF4 and therefore H3A is not affected.

add ISP gain to other modules within VISS

There is another AWB gain in PWL-LUT of RAWFE (called WB1) that can affect H3A.

We do not use this in current SDK S/W (only WB2 and NSF4-WB are used).
You will have to modify the VISS kernel to apply the gains to WB1.
